The intervention originated from the intention to eliminate a state of urban decay that had for years characterised a central area of Trebisacce, occupied by two dilapidated buildings. This condition gave rise to the project for the demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of a new building, conceived to replace the compromised building stock and restore a new architectural and urban quality to the area. The project provides for a three-storey building with a total volume of approximately 4,000cubic meters. The ground floor accommodates commercial spaces, while the two upper levels are intended for residential use. The setback of the new building from the street line made it possible to create a new stretch of pavement, restoring continuity to the pedestrian route and improving the usability of the urban space.
